The Fall Of An Artist: Chapter 3 (edit)The winter ice had melted and the landscape surrounding the fjord was striking green. The sun was setting, bathing the sky in orange light. As daylight was disappearing, a blanket of fog that seemed almost supernatural settled over the water. This wsa the scene taking place before, or rather beneath Jason. He was standing on a platform above the water, admiring the beauty of nature. While still in awe, he felt a shiver run up his spine. When he looked down he found that the fog was thicker than ever and had risen to his feet. Suddenly something gripped his ankle. It was a shadow, black as night, rising from the fog and advancing up his leg. It starts to pull him down through the fog to the cold black water below. Now more shadows rise up, gripping him by the hands. He tries to break free, but the shadows just tighten their grip, crushing his limbs. Their intentions are clear, Jason must join them in their tomb of water. As he starts sinking beneath the water, it feels like his bones ar
The Fall Of An Artist: Chapter 2 (Edit)It was raining when Jason arrived at Henry's's house. Jason was standing outside staring into the distance, all he could see was the silhouettes of houses and trees. As the rain became heavier Jason could start to visualize a new painting. He could see a man standing alone in the rain. The man was wearing a dark trench coat. His face was in the shadow and barely visible, making him seem like a dark phantom from another world. The rain and shadows only made the scene more ominous."Are you just going to stand there or are you going to come inside so I can take your money." Henry asked.Jason came out of his trance-like state and turned around to face Henry."Sorry, my mind just drifted of a bit." Jason said."Well, get inside and get yourself a drink."They went inside and joined Brian at the table."So Da Vinci finally decided to turn up." Said Brian."What are you drinking maestro? Steven asked."I'll take a whiskey." Jason replied."Whiskey on the rocks!" Steven sang like he was audi
The Fall Of An Artist: Chapter 1 (Edited)The painting of the Norwegian fjord was nearly complete. Jason had been working on this for weeks and finally he had the end in sight. This was the last work for the upcoming exhibition.Jason finished the last brush stroke and stepped away from the canvas."What do you think Ansel? Is it ready to show to the people?"The Jack Russel just raised his head to look at Jason and wagged his tail.Jason smiled."That good huh, let's hope the critics agree with you."At that moment Jason’s phone rang. He thought about ignoring it, but after looking at the caller I.D., he decided to answer."Henry, what's up?""Jason, I just wanted to remind you about the poker game tomorrow, don't go working through the whole week again."Jason put his brushes into water."I'll be there, the fjord is done.""Finally, how long have you been working on that thing?""It's been about a month now.""That long, don't you normally finish in a cou
